I just realized that it was March when I last made an entry. Business is booming, which unfortunately for a one-woman shop like mine, means little time to dedicate to my own promotion. My web site has felt my neglect and has very few of the many projects I've had the honor of being a part of this year. On the positive side, all my efforts go toward my client's projects and I believe that dedication is what makes my clients stay on board.
So as we head toward the close of 2009, I will begin my list of resolutions. I will make a better effort at keeping my site updated with all the latest on what Kwest Communications is doing in the field. I believe this not only will benefit my business, but will also bring greater exposure to my clients and their goals.
Video is the latest and greatest thing for the world to share. I'm being a tad sarcastic because I do frequent YouTube and find myself in awe of what people are willing to show millions of viewers. YouTube has certainly leveled the web video playing field for any one owning a handheld personal camcorder and some included software in the latest iMac. The question is, are you using that video to its most effective end?
Let me start off by stating that I LOVE music. My iTunes or iPod is constantly streaming music from the internet or playing my favorite songs as I'm out and about. However, I detest web sites that have music. Please forgive me if you have music on your web site and are just in love with it but please know that for the majority of us it is merely an annoyance.
Any one can design a web site. But not every web site is well designed. No offense to all the do-it-yourselfers out there! For a simple family web site or informational page, doing it yourself is economical and certainly fun but if you are looking to promote your business, invest in a professional designer.
