"A Few Miles For Many Smiles"
ABN Radio would like to invite you join us at the third-annual Great Buckeye Tractor Cruise. This antique and classic tractor ride will take place July 24, 2010 with kick-off at 9 a.m.. This benefit ride is to raise money for Camp Quality of Ohio.
Camp Quality is a weeklong camping experience, as well as, year round support system for children with cancer and their families. For a child whose life is threatened by this terrible disease, a lifetime takes on a new meaning. We cannot control the quantity of life which one is given, but we can all do something about the quality of which we are given and can give. Camp Quality is the oldest camp of its type in the nation, so many each year.
Camp Quality goes beyond providing an exciting week-long camping experience designed for young cancer patients. A "companion" is assigned to each camper and their family. This special individual works with the family throughout the year, ultimately serving as a source of support during these difficult times.
The cost of running such a special camp that meets the many unique needs of these individuals is daunting and participation in the Great Buckeye Tractor Cruise will go a long way to add a few smiles to these families' lives.
The theme of the 2010 Great Buckeye Tractor Cruise is Tractors at the Top of Ohio. The 35-mile route we will be taking this year will parade drivers through the rolling hills of beautiful Logan County where you’ll see the Piatt Castles and enjoy a tour of the Ohio Caverns during our lunch stop. The schedule is generous on the amount of time for breaks and lunch, so drivers can visit and enjoy the day.
Registration for the 2010 Great Buckeye Tractor Cruise is $30. This fee includes a t-shirt, meals and snacks for the driver, liability insurance, and any other costs that incur putting the ride together.
Registration is due to the address below by July 3, 2010.
Because this is a benefit, we are challenging each driver to collect at least $100 in donations, but hope you will consider working even harder because every dollar raised benefits the young people served by Camp Quality of Ohio.
We anticipate a wonderful response from tractor drivers and community organizations for this event. If you have any questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact Clark Siddle at clark@buckeyeag.com or call (937) 603-3908.
Thank you for your support in helping make the QUALITY of life better for Ohio's children with cancer.
